Fontana Police Department
The Fontana Police Department is taking applications to fill both the Community Service Officer (CSO) position and the Parking Enforcement Officer position.
Community Service Officer (CSO):
This position is ideal for an individual such as a college student, pursuing a career in criminal justice. The CSO performs various non-sworn duties including parking enforcement, traffic control, booking, squad maintenance, general office tasks, etc. This position can be combined with school internships. The CSO position is seasonal and generally operates from May-September.
- $15.00-$18.00 per hour depending on qualifications.
- 30-40 hours per week.
- Weekends and holidays required.

Parking Enforcement Officer:
This position is ideal for an individual seeking part-time employment during the summer months. The Parking Enforcement Officer enforces parking in all the Village of Fontana municipal parking lots and responds to parking complaints throughout the remainder of the Village. The Parking Enforcement Officer also assists in the daily maintenance of the Pay to Park machines. The Parking Enforcement Officer position is seasonal and generally operates from May-September.

Most positions provide 20 to 34 hours per week and start as early as April 15, 2023. Weekend and holiday shifts for these positions are mandatory. Fontana Firefighter
Fontana Fire Department is establishing a Fire Fighter/EMT and Paramedic eligibility list for future employment opportunity. Fontana Fire Department covers the Villages of Fontana and Williams Bay providing service for approximately 4000 full time residents with a large seasonal increase. Fontana Fire Department responds to approximately 600 emergency calls per year between the two communities served. Full-time Staffing for three 24-hour FF/EMT or FF/Paramedics per 24-hour shift supplemented with part time and paid on call staff. Starting annual pay-fulltime $47,915.00 to 56,980.00 , or hourly rates between ($18.50 and $22.00 per hour), depending on certification level at time of hire.
Village Seeking Election Inspectors
The Village of Fontana is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Election Inspector to work at the polling place on election days. This is a paid position. To qualify, you must be a qualified elector of Walworth County, have strong clerical and problem solving skills, and be able to effectively communicate.
